Stop-off at a small picturesque village with visit to its Romanesque Church built before the year 1000. The church is situated in one of the loveliest Chianti valleys.
Private visit to a Renaissance villa and its wine-producing complex.
Visit to the Old Winecellars (14th century), once dungeons for Sienese soldiers.
Lunch at a typical Tuscan farmhouse: sampling of Tuscan dishes, dressed with extra virgin olive oil, various types of bread, vegetables and wines produced on the farm for the owner's family only.
In the afternoon you will be driven through the famous Chianti hills where you will be able to admire the olive groves, the vineyards, the villas and the castles that have been witness to three hundred years of war between the cities of Florence and Siena.
On the way back, a pause at a farmhouse for a taste of local "pecorino" cheese and wine.
Return to the hotel.
